Getting started

Install RLPeak, set up your Rocket League folder, then try the V1 Items workflow.

RLPeak is a Windows desktop companion for Rocket League players. V1 focuses on item customization: the app downloads item files when you click Apply, keeps a local cache, and creates backups so you can reset later. It does not inject into the game.

Installation

Download the latest Windows installer from the download section or GitHub Releases. Run the installer, then open RLPeak from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.

Always download RLPeak from rlpeak.com or the official GitHub release page. Builds from other sources are not official.

First launch

When RLPeak starts, it checks that your app version is allowed to run. If a newer version is required, RLPeak will ask you to download it from the website before continuing.

After that, RLPeak checks your Rocket League folder. If it finds the standard install location, it fills it automatically. If not, it sends you to Settings.

Choose your Rocket League folder

Open Settings, click Browse, and choose your Rocket League folder. RLPeak will auto-correct common mistakes, so it is okay if you accidentally select a subfolder.

The folder usually looks like this:

C:\Program Files\Epic Games\rocketleague

Steam users may have it in a Steam library folder instead.

Apply an item

Go to the Items page. There are three panels: Decal, Wheel and Boost.

  1. For decals, choose the car first.
  2. Search or select the item you want.
  3. Click Apply.
  4. Wait for the success message.

The first time you apply an item, RLPeak may download it from the remote catalog. The next time, it reuses the local cache.

Make the item appear in-game

If Rocket League is already open, decals and wheels may need a small refresh step:

  1. In Rocket League, equip a normal item instead of the RLPeak item.
  2. Leave the Garage.
  3. In RLPeak, apply your decal or wheel.
  4. Go back to the Garage.
  5. Equip the RLPeak item again.
Boosts work differently. After applying or resetting a boost, restart Rocket League to see the change.

Reset items

Use Reset on an item panel to restore that category, or Reset All to restore everything RLPeak changed. Reset works from local backups and does not need the remote catalog.

Offline behavior

RLPeak needs internet for the startup version check and for downloading items that are not cached yet. Items already downloaded can be applied again from cache. Reset also works offline because it uses local backups.

Troubleshooting

The app says it is out of date

Download the latest version from the official website. Old versions may be blocked to avoid broken catalogs or outdated workflows.

I applied an item but do not see it

Use the in-app guide button: Why don’t I see my item? It explains the Garage refresh steps. For boosts, restart Rocket League.

Download failed

Check your internet connection and try again. RLPeak will not modify Rocket League files if a required item download fails.
